It is the first of May, and I have a fun challenge for you! As we all know, the world is a pretty stressful place right now, and it can be tough to find ways to unwind and relax. That's why I'm inviting everyone to join me in a month-long challenge: painting or drawing (or any kind of creating) a mini rabbit every day in May 2023.
Starting May 1st, I'll be posting a mini rabbit painting every day on my social media pages, and I invite you all to create your own rabbits using whatever medium you prefer. Whether you're a seasoned artist or a beginner, this challenge is a great way to flex your creative muscles and take a break from everything going on in the world.
To participate, all you have to do is create a mini rabbit and post it on your own social media pages using the hashtag #mayrabbits and tagging me, @lisabrittonart. I'll be sharing your rabbits on my social media stories, so be sure to follow along to see all of the amazing bunny art that everyone creates.
Here are some guidelines to keep in mind as you create your rabbits:
Your rabbits can be any size, but they should be small enough that you can create one each day for the entire month of May. Most of mine will be on a small panel, about 4”x5” or smaller.
You can use any medium you like, including paint, pencil, markers, digital art, or even sculpture. Not into traditional mediums? No problem! Food, glitter, plants, be as creative as you like!
Please get creative with your rabbits! They don't have to be realistic; you can create cartoon rabbits, abstract rabbits, or anything in between.
Don’t stress if you miss a day or can’t create as much as you wish, life happens.
Have fun! This challenge is all about taking a break from the stress of the world and enjoying the process of creating.
